ABSTRACT

Level of Cadmium, lead, nickel, zinc, copper, manganese, chromium and iron were determined in effluent released from a dyeing industry located at Nagari mandal, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Along with the effluent sample, ground water and soil were sampled at different distance from the effluent drain. It has been observed from experimental result that the concentration of metal in the soil are high compared to the ground water in the adjacent area of the effluent drain.
